The day really turned around for Taryn and Carm’s wedding at Woodcliff Hotel. As they were getting ready, we were looking out of the giant windows of the suite at Woodcliff and watching the storm clouds roll in. It started gently. Then while Taryn was putting on her dress, I looked at the parking lot and saw the water rushing down the storm drain, like it was a giant bathtub.
Obviously Taryn was worried, but I calmed her and reminded her that I could take memorable portraits of her and her groom anywhere and that no matter where her ceremony took place, she would still get to marry the love of her life. Woodcliff moved the ceremony inside their tent and everything worked out wonderfully. By the time the ceremony was over, we had a beautiful day and still were able to take portraits with that view that Woodcliff is famous for.
Hanging out with Taryn and Carm and their friends all day was so much fun, they really made me feel as if I have known them for years. All of them were an entertaining bunch, especially Carm. There were several times in the night when he had a mic in his hands and was singing. Hopefully we will get a chance to hang out more when you come back to visit.
